Flexible plastic Photovoltaic's (PV's) are gaining efficiency and commercialization very quickly.
Plastic flexible solar collectors are the next step in having all surfaces act as electricity generators.
Plextronic is a company that is at the for front of this trend in solar collectors. In air spinning of the dye-sensitized ink on to the material they have increased the efficiency of the solar electrical generators.

It is foreseeable, of a time when all surfaces will be covered with this ink like dye-sensitized material. Meaning all such surfaces will be generating electricity.
We're talking roofs, sidewalks, vehicle painted surfaces and any or all surfaces exposed to the sun.
Think about your car sitting in the sun all day and charging its battery at the same time it is baking in the sun.
I for one think of that scenario every time I go to my car and need to manipulate myself into it without burning the back of my legs because I happen to be wearing shorts that day.
Here's that link to the article again.
I follow all the organic photovoltaic news on these new materials that can help produce electricity on any surface.
I for one am looking forward to free power. These materials are taking us in that direction.
Thanks for visiting this blog.
Have a great day
